A page with the project template has been set up for everyone. Your page link is on the left sidebar. As we go through the course and develop our projects, we can include the information for our unit on the unit plan template.
If you would like to download copies of the template, I have included links to both a Word (.doc) and Open Office (.odt) version of the template below.
Unit 2 Project Work
This unit, we'll be thinking about the standards we want to teach with our online unit, and choosing the standards that will be the learning objectives for the unit we'll create. Think about one that is challenging, or that students might have difficulties with in the past, or just one that you want to spice up a bit. Determine which standards you want to teach, and add them to the template. Remember to add the language as well as the number for the standard, as we want to be able to look at the standards in comparison to your evidence without having to open up another document or webpage.
Once your standards are in place for the unit, brainstorm several ways that students could demonstrate to you that they understand the standard, or have learned the content of it. We want students to become proficient so think about what you need to see from them that would convince you that they were proficient. Once those are in place, we'll have a variety of choices we could use to create activities for learning. And you'll have the basis for your assessment rubrics.

Discussion Comments for your Pages in this Wiki
You'll notice that each page has several tabs on the top. The Discussion tab holds the discussions for each page. To leave a comment or a question on your page, or someone else's page, go to the discussion tab and select "add new" to start a discussion. To respond to one that is already there, just click on the title of the discussion. When you have posted comments to your page, a number will appear in parenthesis after the word Discussion on the tab.
